Attorney Merrick C. Weinstein Joins Firm

Merrick C. Weinstein, formerly a partner of Nyquist Weinstein law firm, previously known as Devine & Nyquist, is a new associate of the firm, Bernard & Merrill.

Attorney Weinstein is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook cum laude and of the Boston University School of Law cum laude and has practiced law in New Hampshire since 1983. He has an extensive legal background in matters of insurance, personal injury, and workers’ compensation. Weinstein is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association.

In his free time, Weinstein has volunteered his time and expertise as a mediator for both the New Hampshire Superior Court and the New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights. He is an active tournament bridge player, member of the American Contract Bridge League and teaches bridge to beginners.  Weinstein lives in Manchester with his wife and two children.

Attorneys Eric P. Bernard and Andrew A. Merrill will be presenting at the NH Adjuster’s Association Fall Claims Conference in November 2009. Attorney Bernard will be speaking on topics pertaining to the New Hampshire Labor Department hearing process, RSA 281-A: 48, Review of Eligibility for Compensation, and unsettled issues concerning attorney’s fees, interest and costs. Attorney Merrill will discuss NH Supreme Court cases impacting workers’ compensation law and practice, as well as statutory and regulatory changes over the past 12 months.

Attorney Daneke Appointed to Serve on Manchester’s Planning Board

Attorney Donna M. Daneke was appointed to serve on the City of Manchester’s Planning Board in the spring of 2009. The Manchester Planning Board hears applications for subdivision, site plans, planned developments and conditional use permits. The Planning Board also works on long-range plans such as the community master plan.
